“Herman Ciardullo is the president and co-owner of Oakridge Landscape Contractors. He has a lifetime of experience which began with his parent’s successful produce and garden centre business. After graduating from McMaster University he realized Landscaping was his true passion and followed his father’s footsteps into the horticultural business. His focus and client dedication can be seen throughout decades of innovative residential and commercial projects. Herman has led his team of trusted professionals to earn numerous urban awards and Landscape Ontario awards year after year. Community involvement is the backbone of Herman’s personality. He has sat on numerous committees, often holding executive positions during his tenure. Herman has sat on the Donnici Social Committee for 14 years, serving as President for 2 years. He also served as President of Corpus Christi Catholic School Council for 4 years, President of Bishop Tonnos Secondary Catholic School Council for 3 years, dedicated Committee Member of Landscape Ontario for 2 years, Coach and Manager of Blessed Sacrament Rep Basketball for 6 years, and Coach and Manager of Ancaster Rep Soccer for 4 years. Herman is currently pursuing part time studies at the DeGroote School of Business to further his wealth of skills and knowledge. He is very proud to have celebrated Oakridge Landscape Contractor’s 25th anniversary in 2017 as it was a major milestone for himself and his company.”
Len Poloniato entered into the landscape trades with a background in business. He has 30 years of landscaping experience and is the co-founder of Oakridge Landscape Contractors. Inspired by the evolving nature of the landscaping industry, he enjoys concentrating on exciting new development and growth opportunities. He is passionate about landscaping and focusing on every client project with enthusiasm and determination, to ensure that their landscaping needs and dreams are met. From the day Oakridge opened its doors to today, Len takes great pride in being part of such a dedicated and respected team.
Paul has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of landscape design, construction, and supervision of work crews. He is a graduate of the Horticulture, Landscape Design program from the University of Guelph and the Environmental Horticulture program from Sheridan College. Paul also holds a Gold Seal Certification (GSC) designation from the Canadian Construction Association. His wealth of skills and experience can be applied to estimating, including quantity takeoff, site analysis, pricing, design build sales negotiation and post tender negotiations for industrial, civil, institutional and residential landscape projects.
Mark’s background in creating beautiful designs and managing all types of landscape projects comes from generations of family involvement in the landscape industry, coupled with a Landscape Technician diploma from Humber College. Together with his construction team, he has continued to maintain Oakridge’s strong presence through various projects in Hamilton, Niagara, Western Ontario and the GTA. Mark’s energetic personality, knowledge and masterful skills of the landscaping industry form a strong foundation for the company’s reputation and dreams.
Aside from dedicating over 15 years to our Oakridge Team, Mark loves baseball and hockey but especially loves to run. He has participated in the New York and Chicago marathons and our local Around the Bay (only to name a few). He has been a key manager in over 25 Landscape and Urban awards received by Oakridge Landscape Contractors. Mark lives by a simple motto: “work hard….play hard”
Prior to his career at Oakridge, Chris worked in restoration for several years on a swing stage against high rise buildings. There he gained great experience and learned the importance of preparation and safety. For over nine years, Chris worked in concrete forming and truly learned what hard work and labour was; which has clearly impacted his work ethic and dedication as seen since his first day at Oakridge. Chris started his career with Oakridge in May of 2012 as a Superintendent.
Anthony joined Oakridge in 2012 after graduating with both Civil Engineering Technician and Construction Engineering Technician diplomas from Mohawk College. As a Junior Estimator he is a highly motivated team player, who is able to assist with a variety of project needs with accuracy and professionalism. Anthony’s strong work ethic and positive attitude make him a reliable and valuable member of the Oakridge team.
Since joining our team Anthony has taken numerous horticultural courses at Mohawk College and is currently working on his Gold Seal certification. In his spare time he enjoys playing volleyball, baseball and soccer. Anthony’s favourite quote, “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you”.
Chrissy has been the Office Administrator at Oakridge since 2012. Born and raised in Mississauga, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Brock University and her Early Childhood Education diploma from Sheridan College. Chrissy’s previous places of employment including Toronto South Detention Centre, Hamilton Airport and Region of Peel daycares have given her the skill set to meet the demands of our busy, ever-growing landscape company. Chrissy enjoys spending her free time cheering her boys on at the hockey rink, baseball diamond and soccer field.
